Hélène Bourguignon teaches eyelash extensions from Bendejun, near Nice, on the French Riviera. She started out doing sets in her clients' homes long before she started teaching, and that is where her way of teaching comes from: it always begins with the hands and the client sitting in the chair, never with theory. The Hélène B Academy grew out of one simple observation: there are a thousand tutorials out there and almost no training that truly walks with you, from your first set to your first full diary. More than five hundred lash technicians have since followed that path, in eight languages and from as many countries.
The techniques first: classic lashes, handmade Russian volume with fans built one by one, wispy sets, lash lift and brow lamination. Then everything that surrounds them and is taught almost nowhere: lash mapping, hygiene and safety in the application zone, reading the hair fibre, the way humidity affects retention. And finally the business itself: setting your prices, keeping your client records, filling your diary, registering your activity. Every course is followed online, at your own pace, and every set can be filmed and then corrected on video by Hélène.
For the woman starting from nothing who wants a real craft in her hands. For the working technician ready to move up to Russian volume, fix her retention or gain speed. Hélène takes the road and comes to train you where you work, a full day, just the two of you: your chair, your kit, your models, and nobody else in the room. All year round from Saint-Tropez to Monaco, and twice a year across mainland France.
