Classic or Russian volume, the real difference

When you discover the lash craft, two words come up everywhere. We compare them, sometimes we confuse them. And really, only one question matters: what changes concretely for your client and for you.

Classic lashes, the foundation

The principle is simple to say, demanding to execute. One extension, placed on one natural lash. It is the no-mascara look, the one that adds depth without transforming the eye. Classic teaches you the fundamentals: isolating each lash, correct placement, respecting the lash direction, and glue control.

Russian volume, the gesture you earn

Here the logic changes. Instead of one extension, you place a fan of several very fine fibres on a single natural lash. The result ranges from slightly fuller to very dense, depending on the number of fibres per fan.

The weight rule, the pivot of everything

A natural lash only carries a limited weight, concretely one 0.15 mm extension, or about 6 fibres of 0.07 mm. That is the whole logic of Russian volume. By using finer fibres, you can place several without exceeding what the lash can carry. Too heavy, and the lash weakens and falls, leaving gaps in the line.
